The year is 602. It is the year that the long and awaited Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is finally opening. The school was created and designed by four very powerful, talented people. The first of them is a man named Godric Gryffindor, who is a man of courage and high spirits. Salazar Slytherin is a man who takes pride in his blood status, as well as his own abilities and strengths. There is also a woman named Rowena Ravenclaw, who is the ultimately clever and wise of the four. And lastly, Helga Hufflepuff, a woman of great deeds and kindness. Together, the group of extraodinary wizards and witches have created a school far beyond anything like it. The castle is filled with many secrets, some of which might never be discovered, and others that are best left uknown. Mysteries lie within the walls of the castle, the very structure and core of the school. The event is a great achievement, and one that will continue a legacy for centuries.
But not all is well. The four founders each have their own, seperate opinions on how the school should be run, and finding a way to agree seems to become less and less likely. The grand school, a place thought to last for an eternity, is slowly tearing apart. Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff are running out of time to keep Hogwarts from failing. The work and effort they put in for so long seems hopeless. Even more personal conflicts are being affected by the constant fueding of the founders.
Godric and Salazar, two life-long friends since before the start of construction for Hogwarts, are slowly realizing their many differences. The two of them seem to despise the other, and envy takes over both. With opposing ideas and ways to help the school, they are becoming mortal enemies. Hogwarts is starting to become the center of many problems, and is losing the appeal it once had not long ago. But while Salazar and Godric butt heads, Rowena and Salazar are developing an unexpected relationship. The attraction grows deeper as Salazar's friendship with Godric dies.
Helga Hufflepuff, however, does her best to stay out of most of the fueds and arguments. Her peaceful personality is nearly all that's left for any hope of Hogwart's surviving. She maintains a positive outlook on the school, and does her best to take to her duties. But she can't help but notice her persistence isn't successful. She sees the change in Salazar as he becomes even more self-centered and begins to become a man of evil, and hate. And as Salazar grows worse, she worries that the school is coming to an end. Even now, Rowena realizes that Salazar seems to have high demands for the other founders, and loses her trust that she once had with him.
Seperated from the other three founders, Salazar takes matters into his own hands. Anger and frustration builds up, leading to an ultimately destructive plot to ruin the school. And although he seems to be on his own, he finds an unlikely ally in his plot. Samuel Gryffindor, the son of Godric, has turned away from his controlling father, in hopes of learning more with the teachings of Salazar Slytherin. Shocking secrets unfold as Salazar's plot begins to unfold, and more mysteries arise as conditions in Hogwarts become worse. The school is in danger, and time is running out...
